Digital Divide

Illustrations on Digital Inequality

For the publication Digital Divide by the Christoph Merian Foundation, I created four illustrations that explore social inequality in access to digital media, technology, and digital participation.
The illustrations depict everyday scenarios – apartment hunting, relationships, job searching, and transportation – where people without access to digital tools face digital exclusion or disadvantage. Each piece consists of two layers: the analog situation on paper, complemented by a transparent “Digital Layer” that reveals the digital opportunities that are inaccessible to people without digital access.

The design studio BKVK skillfully incorporated my illustrations into a powerful layout, resulting in a visually strong and socially relevant publication.
